In Monday's non-league bout, the Hondo Owls (Hondo, TX) baseball squad the host Poth Pirates (Poth, TX), by a tally of 7-2.

With the triumph, Hondo moves its record to 13-6 on the season. The Owls travel to Dilley (Dilley, TX) to confront the Wolves in a 3A Region IV District 28 contest on Friday, March 20. The Wolves come into the contest with a record of 2-7. Dilley lost 17-0 in their recent non-league contest against Hebbronville (Hebbronville, TX)

The Pirates now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Goliad for a 3A Region IV District 26 battle on Friday, March 20. Poth will face a Tigers team coming off a 9-2 non-league win over Cuero (Cuero, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 4-3.
