The Lytle Pirates triumphed over the host Hondo Owls baseball squad by a score of 15-6 in Friday's league outing.

Next up, the Pirates battle the Crystal City Javelinas (Crystal City, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 28 outing, on Tuesday, March 31. Lytle will attempt to advance on its 17-6 season record. The Javelinas come into the outing with a 10-8 record after their 6-2 league win over Cotulla (Cotulla, TX).

With the defeat, Hondo drops to 15-7 on the year. The Owls travel to Natalia (Natalia, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 3A Region IV District 28 test on Tuesday, March 31. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 7-8. Natalia won 18-3 in their recent league test against Dilley (Dilley, TX)
