March 16, 2026: Independence, LA 70443 In Monday's non-league bout, the Independence Tigers (Independence, LA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets (Mt. Hermon, LA), by a tally of 15-4.
Next up, the Tigers encounter the Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) in a 2A District 9 challenge, on Wednesday, March 18. Independence will attempt to better on its 2-10 season record. The Jaguars go into the challenge with a 17-8 record after their 4-1 league win over St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA).
With the defeat, Mt. Hermon drops to 2-5 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Holden (Holden, LA) to clash with the Rockets in a B District 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 17. The Rockets enter the bout with a record of 10-6. Holden won 15-0 in their recent non-league bout against False River (New Roads, LA)
