Georgia High School Baseball - Dougherty gets by Westover
March 17, 2022: Albany, GA 31707 Dougherty Trojans (Albany, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Westover Patriots (Albany, GA), 7-5 in a league test.
With the win, Dougherty upgrades its record to 6-4 on the season. The Trojans travel to Monroe (Albany, GA) to battle the Golden Tornadoes in a AAAA Region 1 test on Tuesday, March 22. The Golden Tornadoes come into the test with a record of 5-6. Monroe lost 15-0 in their recent league test against Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA)
With the defeat, Westover falls to 4-7 on the season. The Patriots host Cairo (Cairo, GA) to battle the Syrupmakers in a AAAA Region 1 test on Tuesday, March 22. The Syrupmakers come into the test with a record of 6-4.
