Alabama High School Soccer - Hueytown knocks off Huffman
March 17, 2022: Birmingham, AL 35215 Hueytown Golden Gophers (Hueytown, AL) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Huffman Vikings (Birmingham, AL), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Golden Gophers confront the McAdory Yellowjackets (McCalla, AL) in a 6A Area 8 challenge, on Monday, March 21. Hueytown will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Fort Payne (Fort Payne, AL).
With the loss, Huffman drops to 1-5 on the season. The Vikings host Shades Valley (Birmingham, AL) to meet the Mounties in a 6A Area 11 test on Thursday, March 24. The Mounties come into the test with a record of 4-2. Shades Valley 4-4 in their recent non-league test against Pinson Valley (Pinson, AL)
