Virginia High School Baseball - Parry McCluer loses to James River
March 17, 2025: Buchanan, VA 24066 James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA), 17-1 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, James River advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Knights travel to Bath County (Hot Springs, VA) to battle the Chargers in a non-league match on Thursday, March 20. The Chargers come into the match with a record of 0-1. Bath County lost 9-1 in their recent non-league match against Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA)
The Fighting Blues now have a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Altavista for a non-league match on Wednesday, March 19. Parry McCluer will battle a Colonels squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Colonels record now stands at 1-1.
