The Lincolnton Wolves softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Shelby Golden Lions to 3 in the Wolves non-league win on Monday.

The Wolves now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Burke for a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A battle on Tuesday, March 18. Lincolnton will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 16-6 non-league loss to Patton (Morganton, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Shelby moves to 0-7 on the season. The Golden lions travel to Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC) to confront the Rams in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A battle on Tuesday, March 18. The Rams come into the battle with a record of 4-3. Highland Tech won 12-2 in their recent non-league battle against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC)
