Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host East Nicolaus Spartans (Nicolaus, CA), 8-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, Wheatland upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Pirates host Vista del Lago (Folsom, CA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Monday, March 21. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 6-3. Vista del Lago won 5-3 in their recent league test against Del Campo (Fair Oaks, CA)

With the defeat, East Nicolaus falls to 1-8 on the season. The Spartans travel to Woodland Christian (Woodland, CA) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 22. The Cardinals come into the test with a record of 1-4.
