March 18, 2022: West Monroe, LA 71291 In Friday's non-league contest, the Ouachita Parish Lions (Monroe, LA) softball team overwhelmed the host Claiborne Christian Crusaders (West Monroe, LA), by a margin of 11-1.
With the triumph, Ouachita Parish moves its record to 10-9 on the year. The Lions travel to Pineville (Pineville, LA) to play the Rebels in a 5A District 2 contest on Tuesday, March 22. The Rebels come into the contest with a record of 19-1. Pineville won 9-0 in their recent non-league contest against Airline (Bossier City, LA)
In their next game, the Crusaders play the River Oaks Mustangs (Monroe, LA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, March 21. Claiborne Christian will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Mustangs come into the contest with a 1-5 record after their 19-1 non-league loss to Delhi Charter (Delhi, LA).
