March 18, 2023: Ashland, KY 41102 The Huntington Highlanders baseball team scored 5 runs and limited the host Blazer Tomcats to 4 in the Highlanders non-league victory on Saturday.
The Highlanders (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Spring Valley (Huntington, WV). The Timberwolves go into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Spring Valley nipped Russell (Russell, KY), 11-4, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Blazer falls to 0-2 on the season. The Tomcats travel to St. Xavier (Louisville, KY) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 25. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 5-0.
