In Wednesday's league test, the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) softball squad overwhelmed the host Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), by a tally of 16-6.

Next, the Panthers clash with the West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) in a non-league test, on Thursday, March 19. Hibriten will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Rebels go into the test with a 6-0 record after their 11-1 league win over Burns (Lawndale, NC).

The Panthers now hold a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Freedom for a non-league contest on Thursday, March 19. Patton will face a Patriots squad coming off a 9-8 league win over St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 3-5.
