West Virginia High School Softball - Mingo Central bounces East Ridge
March 19, 2024: Matewan, WV 25670 Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) and the visiting East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY), witnessed Mingo Central's softball squad tip East Ridge by a count of 13-6.
The Miners now sport a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Phelps for a non-league match on Saturday, March 23. Mingo Central will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Tolsia (Fort Gay, WV). The Hornets record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, East Ridge moves to 2-2 on the season. The Warriors host Hurley (Hurley, VA) to meet the Rebels in a non-league match on Thursday, March 21. The Rebels go into the match with a record of 0-0.
