The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Davie War Eagles (Mocksville, NC), saw South Mecklenburg's baseball team beat Davie by a margin of 6-3.

The Sabres (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas go into the So Meck 4A challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Palisades by South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 8-3, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, Davie drops to 3-6 on the year. The War eagles host Parkland (Winston-Salem, NC) to clash with the Mustangs in a Central Piedmont 4A challenge on Friday, March 21. The Mustangs go into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Parkland won 15-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Lexington (Lexington, NC)
