Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS) fans exited the stadium happy Thursday as they observed their softball team notch a victory over the visiting Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS), 15-0 in a league match.

The Cougars (14-2) will now prepare for their match against Enterprise (Enterprise, MS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 6-6 record. In their last match, Enterprise gained a win over Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS), 11-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Gators battle the Kemper County Wildcats (DeKalb, MS) in a non-league match, on Monday, March 23. Leake Central will attempt to better on its 1-12 season record.
