The Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) lacrosse the host Panther Creek Catamounts (Cary, NC), 10-8 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

With the triumph, Pinecrest improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Patriots host East Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 4. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. East Chapel Hill won 14-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Wake Forest (Wake Forest, NC)

The Catamounts (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Apex (Apex, NC). The Cougars enter the Southwest Wake challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Apex was nudged by Northwood (Pittsboro, NC), 8-7, in a non-league challenge.
