In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Centennial Coyotes volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Higley Knights.

The Coyotes (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Northwest Christian (Phoenix, AZ). The Crusaders come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Northwest Christian nudged Paradise Honors (Surprise, AZ), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
