Texas High School Softball - St. Paul gets by Burton
March 2, 2023: Burton, TX 77835 The St. Paul Cardinals (Shiner, TX) softball nipped the host Burton Panthers (Burton, TX), 4-3 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Cardinals (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Hempstead (Hempstead, TX). The Bobcats go into the non-league bout with a 5-2 record. In their last bout, Hempstead held off La Marque (La Marque, TX), 16-0, in a non-league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 7-3 record. They play next when they host Anderson-Shiro for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 2. Burton will confront a Fighting Owls squad coming off a 18-1 non-league win over Bartlett (Bartlett, TX). The Fighting Owls record now stands at 6-1.
