Gaston Christian Eagles (Gastonia, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting SouthLake Christian Academy (Huntersville, NC), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Providence Day for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 6. Gaston Christian will face a Chargers squad coming off a 11-6 non-league loss to Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, SouthLake Christian Academy falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The host Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC) to face the Eagles in a NICSAA Metrolina challenge on Tuesday, March 7.
