Franklin Admirals (Franklin, TN) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN), 7-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Franklin upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Admirals travel to Columbia Central (Columbia, TN) to play the Lions in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 3. The Lions enter the game with a record of 0-0. Columbia Central 2-2 in their recent non-league game against Summertown (Summertown, TN)

The Eagles now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Nolensville for a 4A District 10 game on Tuesday, March 3. Independence will confront a Knights team coming off a 7-6 league win over Summit (Spring Hill, TN). The Knights record now stands at 1-1.
