The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC) and the visiting Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), saw Holly Springs's lacrosse team overcome Pinecrest by a margin of 14-7.

The Golden Hawks (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Apex (Apex, NC). The Cougars enter the Southwest Wake challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, Apex was overwhelmed by Middle Creek (Apex, NC), 18-6, in a league challenge.

The Patriots (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC). The Colts enter the United 8/All American/Sandhills challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Cape Fear edged Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC), 9-8, in a league challenge.
