The Lawrence County Red Devils (Moulton, AL) softball nipped the host Brewer Patriots (Somerville, AL), 5-4 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Red Devils (15-8) will now prepare for their bout against Russellville (Russellville, AL). The Golden Tigers go into the 5A Area 15 bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, Russellville was edged by Hatton (Town Creek, AL), 9-3, in a non-league bout.

The Patriots now possess a 11-5 record. They play next when they host Madison County for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 21. Brewer will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to Hillcrest (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 15-3.
