March 20, 2025: Jonesboro, GA 30236 Mt. Zion Bulldogs (Jonesboro, GA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Stone Mountain Pirates (Stone Mountain, GA), 1-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Mt. Zion moves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to North Clayton (College Park, GA) to clash with the Eagles in a 3A Area 5 test on Tuesday, March 25. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 2-6. North Clayton lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Sandy Creek (Tyrone, GA)
The Pirates now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverdale for a 3A Area 5 test on Tuesday, March 25. Stone Mountain will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Lithonia (Lithonia, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 10-1.
