Washington High School Softball - Blaine bounces Orcas Island
March 20, 2025: Eastsound, WA 98245 The Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA) softball routed the host Orcas Island Vikings (Eastsound, WA), 27-4 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Borderites now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ferndale for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest outing on Friday, March 21. Blaine will encounter a Golden Eagles team coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Lake Stevens (Lake Stevens, WA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, Orcas Island moves to 1-3 on the season. The Vikings host Quilcene (Quilcene, WA) to encounter the Rangers in a non-league outing on Saturday, March 22. The Rangers come into the outing with a record of 0-2. Quilcene lost 17-6 in their recent non-league outing against Darrington (Darrington, WA)
