The Gilroy Mustangs got by the visiting Branham Bruins softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Leland Chargers (San Jose, CA) in a Mount Hamilton challenge, on Tuesday, March 25. Gilroy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Chargers go into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 6-4 league win over Ann Sobrato (Morgan Hill, CA).

The Bruins (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley Christian (San Jose, CA). The Warriors go into the non-league challenge with a 8-2 record. In their last challenge, Valley Christian held off Aragon (San Mateo, CA), 10-0, in a non-league challenge.
