In Thursday's non-league test, the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) softball squad overwhelmed the host Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), by a tally of 13-0.

Next, the Patriots clash with the Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC) in a Southwestern 4A test, on Friday, March 21. Independence will attempt to advance on its 7-2 season record. The Ravens go into the test with a 0-3 record after their 16-0 league loss to Providence (Charlotte, NC).

The Pumas (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Knights go into the So Meck 4A test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, Ardrey Kell prevailed over South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 9-4, in a league test.
