Cuero Gobblers (Cuero, TX) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host La Vernia Bears (La Vernia, TX), 13-10 in a league game.

With the triumph, Cuero upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Gobblers host Gonzales (Gonzales, TX) to confront the Apaches in a 4A Region IV District 28 match on Tuesday, March 24. The Apaches come into the match with a record of 13-7. Gonzales won 34-0 in their recent league match against San Antonio Memorial (San Antonio, TX)

In their next game, the Bears confront the John F. Kennedy Rockets (San Antonio, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 28 match, on Tuesday, March 24.
