The Hondo Owls softball team scored 19 runs and held the host Dilley Wolves to 5 in the Owls league win on Friday.

The Owls now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crystal City for a 3A Region IV District 28 battle on Tuesday, March 24. Hondo will meet a Javelinas squad coming off a 9-5 league win over Natalia (Natalia, TX). The Javelinas record now stands at 9-6.

The Wolves (9-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Lytle (Lytle, TX). The Pirates go into the 3A Region IV District 28 challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Lytle was routed by Cotulla (Cotulla, TX), 9-1, in a league challenge.
