Shepherd Pirates (Shepherd, TX) supporters exited the stadium satisfied Friday as they witnessed their softball team tip the visiting Hargrave Falcons (Huffman, TX), 2-0 in a league match.

The Pirates (14-7) will now prepare for their match against Livingston (Livingston, TX). The Lions come into the 4A Region III District 19 match with a 20-3 record. In their last match, Livingston nipped Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX), 5-2, in a league match.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Tarkington Longhorns (Cleveland, TX) in a 4A Region III District 19 match, on Tuesday, March 24. Hargrave will attempt to better on its 15-8 season record. The Longhorns come into the match with a 7-14 record after their 12-2 league loss to Liberty (Liberty, TX).
