In Monday's non-league contest, the Brewer Patriots (Somerville, AL) softball team held off the host New Hope Indians (New Hope, AL), by a margin of 6-5.

With the triumph, Brewer moves its record to 10-4 on the year. The Patriots host Fairview (Cullman, AL) to play the Aggies in a 5A Area 14 contest on Wednesday, March 23.
