In Friday's league bout, the Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Center Cougars (Antelope, CA), by a score of 10-2.

Next up, the Pirates encounter the Oakmont Vikings (Roseville, CA) in a Pioneer Valley League bout, on Wednesday, March 26. Wheatland will attempt to advance on its 7-1 season record. The Vikings enter the bout with a 8-2 record after their 12-2 league win over Marysville (Marysville, CA).

The Cougars (6-2) will now prepare for their bout against Mesa Verde (Citrus Heights, CA). The Mavericks enter the non-league bout with a 10-2 record. In their last bout, Mesa Verde achieved victory over Sacramento (Sacramento, CA), 9-2, in a non-league bout.
