The Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS) baseball trounced the visiting North Panola Cougars (Sardis, MS), 13-0 in Friday's league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Memphis Christian for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 22. Independence will clash with a Black Knights team coming off a 18-5 non-league win over Delta Academy (Marks, MS). The Black Knights record now stands at 9-6.

With the defeat, North Panola drops to 1-4 on the year. The Cougars host Rosa Fort (Tunica, MS) to clash with the Lions in a 3A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 25.
