Georgia High School Soccer - Banks County toppled by Athens Academy
March 21, 2025: Homer, GA 30547 Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA), 10-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Athens Academy advances its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Pinecrest Academy (Cumming, GA) to clash with the Paladins in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 25. The Paladins come into the test with a record of 11-0. Pinecrest Academy won 8-2 in their recent non-league test against Lanier Christian Academy (Flowery Branch, GA)
The Leopards now have a 1-11 record. They take the field next when they host Cedar Shoals for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 25. Banks County will clash with a Jaguars team coming off a 2-2 non-league North Springs (Atlanta, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 4-7.
