The Union Academy Cardinals baseball squad (Monroe, NC), was overwhelmed 13-6 in Friday's non-league contest with the host North Stanly Comets (New London, NC)

With the triumph, North Stanly moves its record to 4-2 on the season. The Comets travel to Ledford (Thomasville, NC) to confront the Panthers in a non-league contest on Wednesday, March 26. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 6-4.

The Cardinals now possess a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine Lake Prep for a non-league contest on Monday, March 24. Union Academy will confront a Pride squad coming off a 9-2 non-league loss to Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC). The Pride record now stands at 6-1.
