The Northwest Area Rangers softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Wyoming Valley West Spartans to 1 in the Rangers non-league win on Friday.

The Rangers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greater Nanticoke Area for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 25.

With the loss, Wyoming Valley West moves to 0-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 1. The Warriors come into the battle with a record of 0-1.
