The crowd at Friday's league bout between the West Brook Bruins (Beaumont, TX) and the host Port Arthur Memorial Titans (Port Arthur, TX), observed West Brook's softball squad top Port Arthur Memorial by a tally of 16-1.

Next, the Bruins meet the Barbers Hill Eagles (Mt. Belvieu, TX) in a 5A Region III District 17 test, on Tuesday, March 25. West Brook will attempt to advance on its 6-10 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 20-2 record after their 5-0 league win over Nederland (Nederland, TX).

The Titans (2-9) will now prepare for their test against Sterling (Baytown, TX). The Rangers go into the 5A Region III District 17 battle with a 4-5 record.
