In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Hixson Wildcats softball squad scored a close 7-5 triumph over the Sequatchie County Indians.

Next, the Wildcats play the Red Bank Lions (Chattanooga, TN) in a 3A District 6 challenge, on Monday, March 23. Hixson will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Lions enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Ooltewah (Ooltewah, TN).

The Indians (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Howard Tech (Chattanooga, TN). The Hustlin' Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 3-1 record.
