Tennessee High School Softball - Signal Mountain sneaks past Sequatchie County
April 16, 2026: Dunlap, TN 37327 The Signal Mountain Eagles softball team scored 6 runs and held the host Sequatchie County Indians to 5 in the Eagles non-league win on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chattanooga Central for a 3A District 6 battle on Monday, April 20. Signal Mountain will encounter a Purple Pounders team coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Notre Dame (Chattanooga, TN). The Purple Pounders record now stands at 7-6.
With the loss, Sequatchie County moves to 17-7 on the season. The Indians travel to South Pittsburg (South Pittsburg, TN) to encounter the Pirates in a non-league battle on Friday, April 17. The Pirates come into the battle with a record of 7-18. South Pittsburg lost 9-0 in their recent non-league battle against Girls Preparatory School (Chattanooga, TN)
