In Saturday's non-league outing, the Murray Tigers (Murray, KY) softball team routed the host Mayfield Cardinals (Mayfield, KY), by a margin of 18-3.

The Tigers now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paducah Tilghman for a non-league outing on Monday, March 23. Murray will encounter a Blue Tornado team coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Lyon County (Eddyville, KY). The Blue Tornado record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Mayfield moves to 0-4 on the season. The Cardinals host Ballard Memorial (Barlow, KY) to encounter the Bombers in a District 3 outing on Monday, March 23.
