In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Grayslake Central Rams volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Lake Zurich Bears.

The Rams (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL). The Dons come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Niles Notre Dame was edged by Niles West (Skokie, IL), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
