March 22, 2022: Rocky Gap, VA 24366 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA), by a margin of 29-19.
With the triumph, Bland County moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Bears travel to Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA) to play the Indians in a non-league contest on Thursday, March 24. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 0-1. Rural Retreat lost 9-5 in their recent non-league contest against Marion (Marion, VA)
In their next game, the Spartans play the Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, March 24. Giles will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Bobcats come into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 14-3 non-league loss to Pulaski County (Dublin, VA).
