Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA), 7-6 in a non-league test.

With the win, Hopewell upgrades its record to 2-1 on the year. The Vikings host Keystone Oaks (Pittsburgh, PA) to clash with the Golden Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 26. The Golden Eagles go into the game with a record of 0-2. Keystone Oaks lost 8-0 in their recent non-league game against Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA)
