Texas High School Softball - La Vega falls to Gatesville
March 22, 2024: Waco, TX 76705 In Friday's league outing, the visiting Gatesville Hornets softball team scored a nice 11-3 win over the La Vega Pirates.
Coming up next, the Hornets battle the Jonesboro Eagles (Jonesboro, TX) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, March 23. Gatesville will attempt to upgrade on its 14-11 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 4-6 record after their 14-5 league win over Covington (Covington, TX).
The Pirates (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against Salado (Salado, TX). The Eagles enter the 4A Region III District 23 outing with a 20-1 record. In their last outing, Salado ran past China Spring (China Spring, TX), 16-0, in a league outing.
