In Saturday's non-league game, the host Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks baseball team scored a close 6-2 win over the Bishop Ireton Cardinals.

The Mavericks (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Walsingham Academy (Williamsburg, VA). The Trojans go into the non-league game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Walsingham Academy was overwhelmed by Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association (Amelia Court House, VA), 7-2, in a non-league game.
