The Leigh Longhorns baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Piedmont Hills Pirates to 6 in the Longhorns non-league win on Saturday.

The Longhorns now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Westmont for a Mount Hamilton test on Wednesday, March 26. Leigh will play a Warriors team coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to Sequoia (Redwood City, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-6.

With the defeat, Piedmont Hills drops to 4-4 on the year. The Pirates host Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA) to play the Acorns in a Santa Teresa test on Tuesday, March 25. The Acorns go into the test with a record of 2-6. Live Oak lost 13-1 in their recent non-league test against Branham (San Jose, CA)
