The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA) and the visiting Piedmont Hills Pirates (San Jose, CA), saw Homestead's baseball team gain a win over Piedmont Hills by a tally of 6-4.

The Mustangs (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA). The Bears enter the non-league battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Menlo-Atherton by Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Pirates face the Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA) in a Santa Teresa battle, on Tuesday, March 11. Piedmont Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 4-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Rancho San Juan (Salinas, CA).
