Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Columbus Explorers (Miami, FL) and the host Cypress Bay Lightning (Weston, FL), observed Columbus's volleyball team top Cypress Bay by a count of 2-0.

The Explorers (14-2) will now prepare for their contest against Varela (Miami, FL). The Vipers enter the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Varela was knocked off by Belen Jesuit (Miami, FL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
