Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Itawamba Agricultural Indians (Fulton, MS), 9-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Pontotoc improves its record to 9-3 on the year. The Warriors host Oxford (Oxford, MS) to play the Chargers in a non-league game on Monday, March 24. The Chargers enter the game with a record of 8-8. Oxford won 2-1 in their recent non-league game against Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS)

The Indians now hold a 14-3 record. They play next when they host Tishomingo County for a 4A Region 1 bout on Tuesday, March 25. Itawamba Agricultural will clash with a Braves team coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Belmont (Belmont, MS). The Braves record now stands at 14-3.
