March 24, 2022: Athens, TN 37303 East Ridge Pioneers (Chattanooga, TN) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Pioneers confront the Loudon Redskins (Loudon, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, March 25. East Ridge will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Redskins enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Notre Dame (Chattanooga, TN).
The Cherokees now possess a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Notre Dame for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 25. McMinn County will confront a Fighting Irish team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Loudon (Loudon, TN). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 3-1.
