Georgia High School Baseball - Westover loses to Cairo
March 24, 2023: Cairo, GA 39828 The Cairo Syrupmakers crushed the visiting Westover Patriots baseball team by a count of 12-1 in Friday's league bout.
The Syrupmakers now possess a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thomasville for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 28. Cairo will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 17-0 league win over Carver (Columbus, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 14-5.
Next, the Patriots face the Hardaway Hawks (Columbus, GA) in a 4A Area 1 bout, on Thursday, March 30. Westover will attempt to move on its 6-9 season record. The Hawks enter the bout with a 7-11 record after their 18-1 league loss to Shaw (Columbus, GA).
