March 24, 2023: Georgetown, TX 78626 Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting East View Patriots (Georgetown, TX), 11-8 in a league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 23-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bastrop for a 5A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Georgetown will battle a Bears squad coming off a 14-0 league win over Cedar Creek (Cedar Creek, TX). The Bears record now stands at 6-10.
With the loss, East View falls to 16-9 on the campaign. The Patriots host Bastrop (Bastrop, TX) to battle the Bears in a 5A Region III District 23 challenge on Thursday, April 6. The Bears enter the challenge with a record of 6-10.
